Bokashi Wheat Bran for Composting
What is Bokashi Wheat Bran?
Bokashi Wheat Bran is a unique compost enhancing material, specifically designed to contain micro-orgaisms that will work hard at breaking down compost so that you don't have to.
Developed through the fermenting of wheat bran with mollasses and Effective Micro-organisms (EMs), this environmentally friendly compost accelerator is a valuable addition to the composting process. Using Bokashi Wheat Bran for your composting has a distinct advantage over traditional composting production; this product means that you can now compost not only your uncooked household waste, but meat and fish and dairy products too. For composting, the Bokashi Wheat Bran must be used in an oxygen free environment, and as such it is usually used with a special airtight composting bucket. By using the bran in this way, it allows the micro-organisms to break down all food and green waste to become a rich and valuable compost in as little as 2 weeks.
This remarkable material is not only good for composting, it can also be put to good use in other ways. For instance, the micro-organisms in Bokashi Wheat Bran will work hard to clear sludge in ponds and fish tanks, and can be used to restore the balance of 'good bacteria' in an animals stomach through a specific supplemental animal food mix.

Bokashi Wheat Bran is available in bags a variety of sizes, starting form 1Kilo. Each Kilo of bran should last you 1-2 months, depending on the size of your bucket or compost heap. This product can be used to accelerate the composting process by adding it to decomposing leaves, or by using it with the bokashi composting bucket.

This incredible composting bucket will allow you to reduce your landfill waste, saving money by producing compost without even leaving the kitchen. Used in conjunction with Bokashi Wheat Bran, just pop all your kitchen waste products into the bucket, followed by a small amount of the wheat bran, and the composting process will begin.
During the composting process, nutrient rich liquid will collect at the bottom of the bucket. This liquid can be simply extracted through the tap on the front of the bucket, and diluted to use as food to nourish your plants. After just two weeks, the final compost product will be ready to either dig into the garden, or add to the compost heap.
The Bokashi Wheat Bran Bucket comes in various sizes, starting at 15Litres, and going up in size for a larger amount of compost production. There is also the option of using twin buckets, so that you can continue to fill one, whilst waiting for the mature compost from the other.
